Dreamy IR glow
These trees were photographed with a Hoya R72 IR filter with the RD1s, with CV 50/1.5 Nokton lens. Exposure was 1/15th, with ISO 400.
Another with the M-Rokkor 40/2
Here is another photo taken with the M-Rokkor 40/2 CLE lens. Camera was the RD1s at 1/80th, ISO 200 at sundown.
M-Rokkor 40/2 lens
This photo was taken with one of my favorite lenses - the M-Rokkor 40/2 CLE lens which is very similar in size and image quality to the Leica Summicron pre-asph v4 35/2 lens. I've had 4 samples of this lens including the CL and QF versions (s/n on front of lens) which may have different coatings than the CLE version (s/n on barrel), and have always preferred using these with the metal 40.5 wide hoods from Heavystar. The camera used was the Epson RD1s. Settings were ISO 400, 1/24th second, f5.6 or f8. Converted to red filtered b&w in Picasa.

good lens performance from Canon A550
This photo was taken by Meg with a Canon 7MP A550. The lens, when it auto-focuses correctly, takes great photos with outstanding rending of tricky backgrounds like the backlit foliage in this shot. Settings were 1/400, F2.6, ISO 80, equiv. 35mm focal length of 38mm.

Fuji Finepix F50fd ISO 6400 example
This photo was taken with the Fuji F50fd which has an ISO 6400 mode, but only at 3MP (otherwise it is a 12MP camera). The noise is quite a bit higher than the Finepix F30 and F31fd ISO 3200 modes, as well as the F40's ISO 1600 and 2000 modes, but still works. Was taken around sunset. Settings were 1/250, f5.6, ISO 6400, 35mm equivalent focal length of 91mm.

Fuji F40fd ISO 100 sample
This flower was taken with the Fuji F45fd at ISO 100, 1/15th, f2.8, and in macro, and chrome color mode, at a 35mm equivalent focal length of 38mm.
Fuji Finepix F50fd ISO 800 sample
This was taken with the 12MP Fuji Finepix F50fd. This camera is a mixed bag - the higher ISO settings (above 400) have a bit more noise the the previous Fuji F30 and F31fd 6MP models, and even the F40fd 8MP model, but still retains the ability to set Aperture or Shutter speed with an A/S dial option. Oddly, the F40fd, and even the very new F100fd models don't have this option.
This photo was taken with the F50fd on the A/S setting with ISO 800, 1/15th, f4.4, at a 35mm equivalent focal length of 83mm.
